Development of Environmentally Friendly Packaging Material for Food Products Based on Biodegradable Polymer
摘要
The main objective of the scientific work is to extract the pectin compound from the fruit peel and obtain bioplastic samples from it in laboratory conditions. The pectin compound was synthesized from the fruit peel and a biodegradable film was prepared from it. The composition and structure of the pectin compound were studied using the IR spectrum. A biodegradability test was conducted by preparing compost and microbial resistance was calculated. The degree of swelling of the pectin film was determined. The tensile strength of the pectin film was studied. Bioplastics are disposable packaging materials that do not decompose for a long time and are thrown away. Therefore, the relevance of the scientific work is the production of biodegradable bottles and eco-packaging from orange peel. Obtaining eco-packaging by processing pectin from waste streams is economically viable.
