Proper attendance management proves to be of vital importance to the success of organizations across different domains of study, including schools, colleges, and universities and the public or private sectors. This practice ensures the proper tracking of attendance, which improves individual and collective performance. However, manual systems of attendance management are prone to errors, are time inefficient, and result in wastage of resources, especially in educational institutions. Overcoming these challenges, this paper introduces the “Speed Check System” as a digital solution designed to improve attendance management and lecture scheduling processes in universities. Speed Check System: This is a mobile-based app on Flutter SDK and Firebase, providing a user-friendly interface coupled with strong data security. The system utilizes the NoSQL database in a cloud-based, real-time synchronization of attendance data with all stakeholders for smooth communication purposes. It is designed with different functionalities to allow the Time Table Coordinators to schedule and alter slots without hassle while allowing Attendance Coordinators to mark attendance accurately with fewer efforts. By eliminating the dependency on paper-based methods, the proposed system will enhance operational efficiency while promoting and supporting sustainability by reducing paper consumption. Additionally, the application provides detailed, advanced features such as real-time updates and instant availability of data with no possible errors during attendance percentage calculations. Future enhancements include the implementation of role-based access control to ensure secure data handling and the integration of analytics tools to generate insights for informed decisions. This work hence showcases the possible use of modern technology in implementing academic administration in a scalable and efficient manner to eliminate longstanding issues in student attendance and schedule management. The Speed Check System serves as a significant step forward in digitalizing academic management processes, ultimately improving the overall effectiveness and sustainability of educational institutions. This paper highlights the system's design, implementation, and potential impacts on academic administration.
