The efficiency of motor controllers is directly linked to the energy consumption of electric vehicles (EVs); improving efficiency can enhance the range of EVs. This paper models the losses of motor controllers using Matlab and analyzes the sensitivity of various parameters to these losses, aiming to elucidate the impact mechanisms of motor characteristic parameters on controller efficiency. Finally, based on the simulation results, several approaches for improving motor controller efficiency are proposed, including power module optimization, thermal resistance optimization, variable carrier frequency, and motor parameter optimization.
