Based on the background of digital design and BIM technology, this paper introduces the related concepts of three-dimensional digital design. Aiming at the research content of three-dimensional digital design of general layout, taking model construction and digital information management system as the research object, this paper analyzes the model construction software, model characteristics, model fineness and structured data model, and puts forward the establishment of digital information management system to promote the research of three-dimensional digital design of general layout. On this basis, the prospect of building a three-dimensional digital collaborative platform based on design management in various professional fields and exploring the digital management of outdoor engineering supported by UAV technology is put forward in the field of three-dimensional digital design of general layout in the future.
