A Review on Interim Check Process of an Articulated Arm Coordinate Measuring Machine
摘要
For real-time performance verification confidence interim checks are carried in between acceptance test and reverification test of an Articulated Arm Coordinate Measuring Machine (AACMM). Single Point Articulation Test (SPAT) is used for interim testing of AACMM which is appreciated as quick and very effective. Standards like ISO 10360-12, ASME B89.4, etc., directed interim check procedures. A review of interim check process particularly following ISO 10360-12 for AACMM with tactile sphere probing system is carried out in this paper. The various factors like sources for errors, uncertainty types, and others those are contributing to SPAT errors are studied. The product (artifact) and measurement process-related findings are presented for the scope of enhancement in quality of interim test results in view of mapping SPAT with Maximum Permissible Error (MPE) which is stated by the manufacturer.
