Innovation and Economic Sustainability: ICT and E-Commerce for the Local Markets
摘要
An important step towards technological integration and economic sustainability is the digital transformation of Sanya's traditional markets. This chapter looks at how e-commerce and ICT advancements are changing the dynamics of local trade in important markets like Yazhou Seafood Market, Hongqi Market, and First Market. The study examines supply chain transparency made possible by blockchain, AI-driven analytics, and smart market infrastructure, emphasizing how these technologies can improve productivity, financial inclusion, and environmental sustainability. Although there are many opportunities for market modernization due to digital advancements, issues like socioeconomic disparities, regulatory concerns, and gaps in digital literacy still exist. In order to close the digital divide and advance inclusive growth, policy recommendations place a strong emphasis on the necessity of public–private partnerships, financial incentives, and government support. To keep Sanya's markets competitive in the digital economy and preserve their cultural and economic significance, it will be crucial to integrate emerging technologies. Sanya is positioned as a model for intelligent, sustainable market ecosystems thanks to this chapter's forward-looking viewpoint on scaling ICT-driven innovations.
