In Sanya's Tianya District, suburban areas—especially Liuxiang Town, Jiucai Village, Shuijiao Village, and Huihui Community—are changing as a result of the incorporation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into senior residential communities. These suburban areas face issues like social isolation, limited access to healthcare, and barriers to digital literacy as their populations age. This chapter examines how ICT advancements, such as community-based digital platforms, smart home technologies, and telemedicine services, can improve social sustainability and senior citizens' quality of life. Along with highlighting important governance and policy implications, it also looks at the socioeconomic and cultural factors influencing the adoption of ICT by older people in these four communities. Even though obstacles like cost and digital inclusivity still exist, new developments in public–private partnerships, regional digital training initiatives, and smart aging regulations offer workable answers. The chapter highlights the value of ICT experimentation in creating a socially sustainable model for senior citizens living in suburban Sanya by drawing on these case studies. These programs can help create a more resilient and connected aging society by reducing technological divides and enhancing community involvement through ICT integration.
