Corporate governance is essential to a company's operational support. As sustainable development gains prominence, corporate governance extends beyond mere firm management to encompass environmental, social, and financial obligations. In light of the increasing prevalence of the sustainability concept, corporate governance is now emphasizing the promotion of corporate sustainability adoption. A unique and uncharted domain exists in the relationship between corporate governance and corporate sustainability for Indian enterprises. This chapter addresses this gap by elucidating the connection between corporate governance and corporate sustainability, providing a novel perspective. This chapter enhances information on corporate governance and corporate sustainability in India, as less research has examined the relationship between these variables in the context of Indian firms.
