Analysis of Neck Muscle Fatigue Using Time and Frequency Features
摘要
The objective of this study is to assess the neck muscle fatigue using time and frequency features. In this work, a LabVIEW-based quantifying system was established to identify the muscle fatigue status of different neck pain patients undergoing cervical traction treatment. The EMG data from 14 patients were recorded by placing the sensors on their neck muscles sustaining 15 min of traction treatment with 7 kg weight in sitting position. The various time and frequency domain features of the obtained EMG data were extracted for the analysis of neck muscle fatigue since time and frequency parameters indicate significant changes during muscle stress. On the basis of pre- and post-parameters, a LabVIEW block diagram was developed, which generates output as relaxation status of muscle fatigue on the front panel. The results show the effectiveness of traction therapy in the reduction of neck pain in several patients.
