Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to significantly ease the challenges and complexities that Indian women’s encounters in regard to personal laws. This study explores how AI can help eliminate barriers within the legal framework that governs women’s rights, improve access to justice, and foster gender equality. Different religious communities in India have their own personal laws, which can lead to gender bias and inequality in the legal system. Women face many problems such as deprives of laws, cultural bias, ineffective courts, and discriminatory law enforcement. These factors make the need for creative solutions well worth it. Moreover, there is a huge opportunity to transform the legal system by using AI to improve the status of women’s rights in India through personal law. Thus, all women can benefit significantly from AI if they ensure the important considerations of ethics, data privacy, and inclusion.
