The urge for extensive adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly increasing, with security emerging as a paramount apprehension. The swift advancement of technology has given rise to a multitude of emerging concerns, including user privacy, data protection, data storage, data processing, and data transfer. To conduct a comprehensive analysis of the issues at hand, the researchers undertake an in-depth analysis and elucidation of the prevailing legal framework in India. This inquiry pertains to the way Indian legislation is addressing the challenges arising from technological advancements in the healthcare industry. The present study undertakes a comprehensive examination of prior research conducted in the domain of Internet of Things (IoT) security, aiming to enhance comprehension of the manifold risks and legal impediments entailed by this emerging technology. It is imperative to consider the incorporation of select laws and policies from the European Union (EU) to enhance the robustness and efficacy of Indian legislation. In numerous studies, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the EU is widely acknowledged as a fundamental principle by numerous other countries. Following the implementation of GDPR, some nations have undertaken efforts to revise their respective data protection legislations.
