Electroencephalography (EEG) offers a powerful tool to investigate brain activity underlying various states like Yoga, Mantra Chanting, Exercise, and Sleep. This study aims to decode the neural correlates of these activities, exploring the interplay between cognitive experiences and physiological responses. By identifying unique EEG patterns for each state, it seeks to understand the cognitive and emotional processes involved, along with potential benefits for well-being. This study uses the Welch and Multi-taper methods for Power Spectral Density (PSD) estimation to analyze brain activity linked to these practices, focusing on how mental states interact with physical responses. Key results show notable changes in brainwave patterns: an increase in Theta waves during Pranayama, Meditation, and Om chanting suggests deeper relaxation and introspection, while decreases in Beta and Gamma waves point to reduced mental effort and sensory processing. In contrast, singing led to a clear rise in Gamma activity, likely indicating greater cognitive demand due to the coordination of hearing, movement, and performance-related stress. This interdisciplinary approach bridges neuroscience, psychology, and holistic wellness, aiming to advance our understanding of human experience and inspire future research on cognitive enhancement and well-being practices.
