Intelligent Post-operative Room Systems: A Cost-Effective Design for Enhanced Patient Care in Resource-Limited Settings

This paper explores intelligent post-operative room systems that enhance patient care and optimize hospital efficiency by integrating artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and data analytics. Traditional post-operative monitoring often leads to delays and variations in care quality. This research evaluates the functionalities, technologies, and challenges of intelligent systems, proposing a cost-effective design for resource-limited settings, particularly in developing countries like Vietnam. The proposed system leverages existing surveillance infrastructure and personal mobile devices for continuous monitoring, environmental adjustments, and data integration. Machine learning algorithms enable predictive analytics to detect potential complications and provide automate alerts for healthcare providers. This research highlights the transformative potential of intelligent post-operative rooms to improve post-surgical care and address the urgent need for innovative healthcare solutions in under-resourced areas.
