Throughput Analysis of Cooperative Massive MIMO System
摘要
The expanding landscape of wireless communication systems demands higher system throughput. A traditional multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system has boundaries in modern networks, impacting capacity, coverage, interference and signal integrity. Massive MIMO presents a promising solution by enhancing spectral efficiency with increasing base station (BS) antennas especially in favorable channel conditions. In this paper, we investigate the evolution toward user cooperative communication employing relays for data transmission is poised to revolutionize spectrum utilization, aiming to ensuring desired signal to noise ratio (SNR) across source–destination (S-D) pairs at BSs based on channel matrix and channel state information (CSI). We identify three efficient solution scenarios based on SNR and achievable data rate constraints, highlighting the cooperative massive MIMO (CM-MIMO) offers higher system throughput. Comparing achievable throughputs and cumulative distribution functions (CDF) for both strategies highlight the benefits of cooperative strategy in improving user experience over non-cooperative system through comparative analysis. The simulations validate our insights into the impact of system parameters.
