Flight Tests Study of Aircraft Wheel Fuse Plug Integrity

The wheel fuse plug device is an important protective device for preventing aircraft wheel brake overheating, which has an significant impact on the safe operation of aircraft. The wheel fuse plug integrity flight test is a necessary verification project for airworthiness certification of civil transportation aircraft. Based on the working principle of the fuse plug, this article focuses on analysing two flight test methods, including flight test configurations, flight test characteristics, flight test manoeuvre requirements, test flight risks, and countermeasures. Additionally, this paper analyzes and summarizes the method for calculating the braking energy absorbed by the fuse plug, emphasizing the guiding significance of ensuring the integrity of the civil aircraft wheel fuse plug during flight tests.
