d-Transposition of the great arteries (d-TGA) is the basic form of TGA. Basically, relationship of the great arteries are the anterior aorta (Ao) and the posterior pulmonary artery (PA). In some cases, the PA is located slightly posterior to the left. The mitral annulus and the pulmonary annulus are connected by a fibrous continuity. The ventricular septum and the infundibular septum are parallel.
