Congenital Aortic Stenosis (AS), Aortic Regurgitation (AR)
摘要
Congenital aortic stenosis (AS) includes valvular stenosis, subvalvular stenosis, combined valvular and subvalvular stenosis, and supravalvular stenosis. In valvular stenosis, bicuspid valves with a raphe, a remnant of valve insufficiency, are more frequent. In bicuspid valve cases, turbulent blood flow through the valve orifice results in thickening of the valve leaflets, decreased mobility, and consequent worsening of aortic regurgitation (AR), as well as enlargement of the ST junction and dilatation of the ascending aorta.
