As point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) becomes increasingly integrated into clinical medicine, its application in neurological contexts has become a crucial bedside diagnostic tool. This chapter thoroughly examines neurology-focused POCUS, blending historical context, technical methodologies, and practical clinical uses. It highlights the importance of POCUS, especially when conventional neuroimaging is unavailable or poses risks, while emphasising its role as a complementary tool to advanced imaging rather than a substitute. The chapter covers a range of neuro POCUS applications, such as assessing midline shift (MLS), detecting intracranial haemorrhage, evaluating hydrocephalus, and measuring optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD).
