In recent years the need for more robust environmental and healthcare technology has grown and optical fiber sensors enhanced with artificial technology might be the answer. Sensors that make use of the unique properties of optical fiber and AI trained on studies and previous case studies can provide greater comfort to users and improve quality of life. These sensors can be used in the collection of data related to healthcare and environmental monitoring amongst others. Wearable sensors such as wristbands and watches have improved flexibility owing to the development in optical fibers and found their place in healthcare, able to track vital signals of the body. Using such advanced technology in monitoring the climate, checking the pollution levels in the air and soil will be tremendously beneficial. By making use of a different fiber optic sensors, integrated with AI & ML, it enhances the system’s ability to analyze spectral shifts and minimizing errors, enabling accurate and robust health and environmental monitoring. In this we hope to bring light on the various applications of AI enhanced optical fibers in health and environment and the technology behind it.
