The safe use of medicines is one of the most important steps in the management of patients with any disease. This takes a high relevance when we talk about diseases considered public health problems, especially in countries with low or middle income. Due to the limited budget assigned to national health programmes, this must be used in the best possible way. For that reason, it is appropriate that pharmacovigilance is introduced in public health programmes [1].
