Ethical and Safety Consideration of Nanosensors
摘要
The advancements of sensors can be seen in various fields such as health care diagnostic tools and treatments, food, air, and water quality detecting methods. At present, there are many methods of nanosensor fabrication such as top-down lithography, bottom-up assembly, and molecular box construction since nanomaterials are not available within a bulk material that materializes on the nanoscale. These are even sensitive and specific concerning sensors comprised of traditional materials. It is the combination of naturally occurring biological activities and chemical events that facilitates the transformation of relatively inert molecules into ones that can readily elicit a measurable physical response. Nanotechnology and therefore put forward appropriate solutions for overcoming these obstacles. They put in place such frameworks to safeguard and ensure the proper development, manufacture, and application of nanomaterials and nano-based products, particularly nanosensors. These regulations are pertained to biocompatibility, toxicity evaluation, sterilization, and clinical trials with the objectives of enhancing safety, effectiveness, and quality of nanosensor-based medical devices and diagnostics.
