Laterite soil, abundant in Malaysia, is known for its instability. In recent years, considerable research has focused on understanding the mechanical properties of laterite stabilised with cement. Several studies have examined the compaction properties, physicochemical behaviour, and strength development of laterite soils stabilised with cement or other stabiliser. Similarly, this research aims to assess the impact of cement on the mechanical properties of laterite soil with further consideration of its performance towards the construction of low-volume roads. This research basic properties testing for physical and mechanical properties. In summary, the findings of these investigations provide valuable insights into the soil properties and potential application of cement-stabilised laterite soil for geotechnical engineering purposes.
