A sign language interpreter is essential for facilitating communication between the deaf community and the wider public. Although sign language has seen substantial development in recent years, there are still notable challenges, especially in the area of interpretation. Many individuals lack the ability to understand sign language, hindering effective communication with deaf individuals. Consequently, the necessity for sign language interpreters remains constant. This idea addresses the challenges by developing a versatile and robust Indian Sign Language (ISL) translator consisting of two modules. The first module will utilise a device camera to capture sign language gestures and translate them into easily understandable text. Concurrently, the second module will enable users to input spoken language, which the system will then translate into sign language gestures, providing corresponding words or phrases for user comprehension.
