Chongqing is a city that never sleeps, where history and modernity, mountains and rivers, and tradition and innovation blend into a restless urban symphony. This book, City Walks in Chongqing (or to be known as Chongqing City Walks), has been a journey through the city’s labyrinthine alleys, soaring bridges, neon-lit streets, and hidden corners. We structured all the work under three mappings of “multi-layers”, “multi-identities”, and “multi-localities”, for which the City of Chongqing should be well regarded for, if this has not been the case yet.
