However, CPAP’s benefits depend on the treatment adherence, and many patients discontinue CPAP use due to its discomfort and complexity. CPAP telemonitoring systems, which enable remote adherence tracking and feedback, have shown effectiveness in optimizing CPAP adherence in some clinical trials. In addition, combining CPAP adherence telemonitoring with remote feedback on lifestyle-related factors, such as body weight and blood pressure, shows promise in managing OSA patients’ overall health. Future research should focus on optimizing telemedicine practices to enhance CPAP adherence and manage OSA complications effectively.
