In the present Chapter, the advanced techniques used to measure the spectral and temporal profile of the ultrafast laser pulses are discussed which mainly include frequency-resolved optical gating (FROG), spectral phase interferometry for direct electric-field reconstruction (SPIDER) and grating-eliminated no-nonsense observation of ultrafast incident laser light e-fields (GRENOUILLE).
