This paper presents a computer-aided design and simulation of a 20-beam cavity architecture for the performance enhancement of an s-band klystron. The main objective is to create a stable cavity with 20 electron beamlets and to achieve uniform coupling for the input and output cavity with these 20 beamlets. A coaxial structure has been chosen here to fulfill the objective. A novel coaxial-shaped coupling structure has also been designed here to get uniform coupling. The investigation has been carried out in the CST microwave studio suite, an electromagnetic simulation tool. For a 20-beam cavity, the R/Q has been achieved here around 35 ~ 40.
