This paper looks at Panipat City traffic congestion issues, with a special emphasis on the effects of inadequate parking facilities. Panipat, a city with a strong industrial presence, has heavy traffic, which is made worse by lack of parking facilities. The study looks into the efforts made to use free space under the flyover as Parking for vehicle in the city by calculating capacity of cars to be parked in parking facility and how well they work to reduce traffic. Hotspots for traffic congestion, parking facility requirements, and tactical fixes like moving the Panipat bus stand are important subjects. The parking facility consist area of about 36000 m2 (1800 m length and 20 m width) which covers 58 flyover spans among total of 96 spans. The total length of the flyover is 2976 m in which for parking facility 1800 m is acquired which has a capacity to accommodate about 1440 cars. The study highlights the significance of proactive urban planning in tackling traffic-related issues in quickly expanding metropolitan areas such as Panipat, by means of analysis and discussion.
