Study of Structural, Optical and Magnetic Properties of Ni0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4 Ferrites Calcined at Different Temperatures

In this work, we examined the effect of different calcination temperatures on the structural, optical, and magnetic properties of Ni0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4 (NZFO) prepared through the sol-gel method. As X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy studies confirmed, all compounds demonstrated the spinel phase. It has been observed that the lattice parameter values 8.3932 Å, 8.4015 Å, and 8.4040 Å are increased as the heating temperature is raised from 450 ℃ to 750 ℃. The material's optical bandgap was estimated through UV-visible spectroscopy, which revealed its potential for optoelectronic applications. M-H hysteresis loops depict the softness of the compounds, and calculated magnetic parameters. Overall, the coercivity values 150 Oe, 170 Oe, and 110 Oe are decreased due to an increase in grain size. Moreover, NZFO calcined at 600 ℃ showed remarkable magnetic properties compared to the other compounds.
