摘要

Boilers serve as the backbone of contemporary industrial operations and electricity generation, functioning as the vital core of energy generation and diverse industrial applications. Hot corrosion is a severe problem caused by boiler materials operating at high temperatures. Conventional steels and alloys are unable to perform in these conditions. Hence, surface modification techniques are preferred to prevent this problem. Numerous coatings find extensive application in enhancing the longevity of boiler materials, offering enhanced corrosion resistance to the substrate. In recent times, there has been notable interest in nanostructured coatings, driven by their exceptional properties that set them apart from conventional coating materials. This paper represents a review of studies of the performance of nano-coatings in aggressive environments.
