On Thursday, the first day of Jumada II in the year 1057 [July 4, 1647], which was the beginning of the first felicitous year of the third decade and the basis of myriads of felicities and great joy and happiness, inasmuch as it coincided with Tir day of the month of Tir, the rosewater festival was held, and the princes, high-ranking nobles, and other grandees of court presented jewel-studded, enameled, and golden flasks. On this day Mirza Rustam Safavi’s grandson Muradkam was given a royal robe and a promotion of 500/200 to the rank of 1500/300. Islam Khan’s son Muh’d Ashraf was promoted to the rank of 1000/300.
