This paper focuses on survivability due to ONU level failure in FiWi network. In ONU level failure, one or more ONUs may fail and hence to divert the traffic of failed ONU/ ONUs, first of all, a best/optimum path/route should be searched. To do so, two different methods Euclidean distance (ED) and Manhattan distance (MD) are applied in the network. Both methods follow MILP based constraints for route finding in the network. The proposed Manhattan distance method exhibits better performance than Euclidean distance method for survivability in FiWi network.

摘要

This paper focuses on survivability due to ONU level failure in FiWi network. In ONU level failure, one or more ONUs may fail and hence to divert the traffic of failed ONU/ ONUs, first of all, a best/optimum path/route should be searched. To do so, two different methods Euclidean distance (ED) and Manhattan distance (MD) are applied in the network. Both methods follow MILP based constraints for route finding in the network. The proposed Manhattan distance method exhibits better performance than Euclidean distance method for survivability in FiWi network.
