Study on the Synergistic Effect of Polyethylene Glycol and Conventional Demulsifiers
摘要
Aiming at the problems encountered in the use of some conventional demulsifiers such as the high addition dosage and uncomplete separation in the presence of the demulsifiers, 8 conventional demulsifiers and polyethylene glycol (PEG) with various molecular weights were evaluated and some demulsifiers with high performances were selected for further evaluation. The synergy between PEG and the selected demulsifiers was found and explored. The experimental results showed that a complete separation of the emulsion is achieved within 4 h at 35 °C by adding the demulsifier mixture of BP2040 and PEG at the dosage ratio of 1:3 and a total dosage of 100 ppm. The dehydration rate can also reach about 100% within 8 h after the introduction of the demulsifier mixture of D-3101 and PEG (Mw = 1000) at a weight ratio of 1:2 and a total concentration of 100 ppm.
