Concrete is a multipurpose material frequently utilized as the main component of buildings and other purposes. The need for concrete is rising daily due to the expanding population, and demand for housing, transit networks, and other facilities. Consequently, there is a shortage of the naturally occurring fine and coarse aggregate needed to make concrete. The use of industrial waste is an ideal opportunity to utilize the waste as an alternative to traditional aggregates in concrete since aggregates comprise approximately 75% of the overall volume of concrete. Ferrochrome slag is a stable, strong, crystalline product with excellent mechanical and engineering qualities that can be used as concrete aggregate. This study offers an analysis of the mechanical properties of ferrochrome slag, crushed block, and crushed rock when used as coarse aggregates in concrete. A comparison is made between their strength, density, and durability with traditional aggregates. As a result of its high strength and stability, ferrochrome slag offers promising performance attributes, while crushed block and crushed rock provide viable, sustainable alternatives. In addition, these materials could potentially reduce the environmental impact of natural aggregates in various construction applications.
