Many MOOC creators require both pedagogical and technical support for crafting effective video scripts. However, currently available templates often lack elements that promote interactivity and essential scaffolding for learners. This study introduces and evaluates RightScripts, a novel web-based tool designed based on the Learner-Centric MOOC (LCM) model. RightScripts provides a structured, six-step process to guide educators in creating Learning Dialog (LeD) scripts, emphasizing measurable learning objectives and the integration of reflection spots to foster engagement. Through this tool, teachers receive targeted assistance, practical examples, detailed checklists, and prompts at each step to support script development. The study involved an expert evaluation by ten LCM specialists, who confirmed RightScripts’ utility in enhancing script quality. Their feedback underscored the tool’s potential for improving script interactivity, while also offering valuable insights for further usability, pedagogical, and design refinements.
