Role of State ICTs in Countering Cyber-Crimes Against Students of Kerala: An Analysis
摘要
The relevance of cyber awareness has not been thoroughly discussed in previous years, with the field of ICT pedagogy focusing primarily on the instruments used to deliver educational programmes. The study will serve as a valuable reference point for academics and researchers who are exploring the potential of cyber awareness and ICT pedagogy. The study points out the inadequate role of state ICT initiatives in enhancing adolescents’ abilities to counter cyber threats. The study’s findings highlight the urgent need for a comprehensive overhaul of the curriculum to address the persistent cyber threats faced by young people in society. The creation of this curriculum and the teachers who work with the students need to have a greater understanding of cyber awareness and legal aids because there has been a sharp rise in cybercrimes and other digital atrocities. For the proper completion and analysis of the variables, the study used both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Data was gathered through a student questionnaire survey, expert opinions from renowned academicians in the field of state ICT, and a psychologist. The study manages to create a pattern about the student population’s face time and engagement in digital space by observing their social media usage habits. The study serves as valuable reference material for academics and researchers investigating the potential of cyber awareness and ICT pedagogy. However, research is scarce on this issue in the existing literature.
