Assessing TeleHealth Performance in Indian Hospitals: A Fuzzy Logic-Based Model with Organizational Insights

The present investigation assesses the efficacy of telehealth services in a medium-sized hospital in India through a fuzzy logic framework. This research seeks to analyze telehealth performance by conducting literature reviews, soliciting expert evaluations, and creating the Fuzzy Telehealth Measure Index (FTMI). The model delineates both exemplary and suboptimal aspects of the hospital’s telehealth services. Results classify the hospital’s telehealth performance as “Average,” while the Fuzzy Performance Importance Index (FPII) pinpoints ten underperforming elements that require improvement, such as patient confidentiality, diagnostic effectiveness, and caregiver assistance. The study advocates for enhancements through systematic feedback acquisition, improved guidance, and reinforced policies to elevate service delivery. Future inquiries may broaden the model’s implementation into a longitudinal study across various healthcare organizations for greater generalizability.
