Business Analytics (BA) is critical in helping organizations leverage data for informed decision-making. However, the literature surrounding BA capabilities remains fragmented, with inconsistent terminology and isolated discussions of key components. This narrative literature review addresses these gaps by critically exploring and synthesizing existing research on BA capabilities. The study proposes a taxonomy that categorizes BA capabilities into three main areas: Data Management, Analytical, and Decision-Making Capabilities and introduces sub-categories under each. The structured framework proposed in this study is grounded in well-established concepts, yet offers a fresh, cohesive perspective that addresses significant gaps in the current literature.
