Biogas: Quality, Standards, and Regulations for Utilization
摘要
Biogas produced from the anaerobic decomposition of the organic fraction of all wastes is a renewable, clean, and environmentally friendly fuel. It is acknowledged worldwide as one of the foremost technologies for producing green gas and a valuable fertilizer from digestible biomass. Methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) make up the majority of the gas extracted from biogas, with trace amounts of nitrogen (N2), hydrogen (H2), oxygen (O2), water vapor (H2O), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), siloxanes, and saturated hydrocarbons (ethane, propane) based on the type of feedstock used.
