El Mensaje: A Tabletop Role-Playing Game as an Educational Intervention for the Improvement of Socio-emotional and Digital Competences in Adolescents
摘要
Role-playing games have emerged from ostracism and marginalisation, spreading not only among the population, but also beyond these leisure spaces to settle in the classroom. The message is a role-playing game, which tackles issues such as sexting, sexual abuse and cyberbullying through its own system for the improvement of socio-emotional and adolescent competences in adolescents. The pilot study aims to analyse its playability and its viability as a socio-educational intervention. As a result of this, some improvements of interest for its playability are incorporated; and of value as an intervention, such as debriefing, a safe disconnection from the game. In summary, the message is an emotionally intense game with great potential for educational intervention with adolescents, offering an immersive and safe space.
