A 60-year-old hypertensive male was admitted with sudden-onset slurring of speech, vomiting, headache, and rapidly progressive drowsiness. His blood pressure was measured as 190/100 mmHg. An urgent non-contrast CT brain scan suggested the occurrence of a hemorrhagic stroke.
