Comparative Study of DVB-S2 Implementations

DVB-S2 offers significant improvements in bandwidth, efficiency, data capacity, and throughput. The DVB-S2 receiver output stream often composed of Transport Streams or generic streams. It has television broadcasting, internet services, and remote sensing applications. This paper provides a comprehensive survey of the methodologies and techniques involved in analyzing and processing the DVB-S2 receiver output stream. We explore various implementation techniques and modern approaches to their implementations. Consider implementation platforms like FPGA implementations, simulations, SDR as well as real world data collection. Review innovative techniques such as multiplierless architectures, synchronization methods, parameter optimization, configurable encoders.
