Digital Tools and Technologies Adoption Used for Rice Food Production and Food Security in Developed Countries
摘要
This paper presents digital tools and technologies adopted in the rice farming sector in developed countries towards increasing rice food production and food security. The integrated literature review was employed to deduce literature within the period 2014–2024 to meet the study objective. A total of 9 primary studies were selected and reviewed for analysis on the benefit of digital tools and technologies in the rice farming sector. The findings of the study indicated Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoTs) and Unmanned Ariel Vehicles (UAVs) as the key digital tools and technologies that impact and improve rice food production and security in developed countries. As such, this study will be impactful for developing countries to learn lessons for strategic adoption of digital tools and technologies to improve rice food production and food security. Further, the study serves as knowledge for researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders within the rice farming value chain for implementation and further research in the study area.
