Through field investigation utilizing rapport building, context inquiry, and interviews as user research methods, the study sheds light on the obstacles encountered by visually impaired users with existing food packaging. Additionally, it explores potential solutions such as braille labels, tactile symbols, high-contrast design, and audible information through a detailed case study. Despite the existence of these solutions, their widespread adoption in India remains limited. Consequently, the paper emphasizes the necessity for design interventions in packaging to address accessibility concerns and enhance user experiences. By examining various design solutions tailored to the needs of visually impaired individuals, this research contributes to the advancement of inclusive design practices in the realm of food packaging.
