This research paper aims to explore the relationship between minimalism in User Interface (UI) design and its impact on inclusivity for individuals with Colour Vision Deficiency (CVD). Minimalism in the digital design landscape has been on the rise due to its ability to provide efficient user experiences. This eliminates all the excess content, focusing on the critical and necessary information. Additionally, from a visual standpoint, minimalist designs include a limited set of colours, usually monochromatic, to create a visually appealing, simple, and clean interface. However, as the digital design perspective expands, the importance of platforms that cater to more diverse user needs is becoming increasingly essential. Through the help of existing research and user studies like surveys and user testing, this study aims to illuminate the extent to which minimalist design principles either aid or burden inclusivity for users with CVD. This research paper intends to provide valuable insights into creating digital platforms that are both visually pleasing and accessible, irrespective of their ability to perceive colour.
