The present study explores the possibility of micro-energy-related interventions in the context of temples in western India. It attempts to bridge small-scale energy needs using non-conventional methods of energy generation for the temple and integrate seamlessly with the architecture. This study explores the implementation of a hybrid energy system in temples located in the western part of India, combining solar photovoltaic (PV), and piezoelectric technologies. This multi-faceted approach ensures a continuous and reliable energy supply; significantly reducing reliance on conventional energy sources. The objective is to meet the small-scale energy demands of these temples through non-conventional energy generation methods that harmonize with their architectural aesthetics. The methodology includes case studies, expert interviews, and contextual inquiries to assess the feasibility of these energy technologies. This study demonstrates the potential of hybrid renewable energy systems to transform temples into self-sustaining centers, aligning modern sustainability goals with the preservation of cultural heritage. The findings offer valuable insights for the broader adoption of sustainable energy practices in heritage conservation.
