Interior space design plays a binding role in shaping the ambience and functionality of commercial office spaces. With an increasing focus on creating productive environments, a stereotypical persona is usually kept in mind while designing an office. Despite advanced progress in design principles, there is minimum consideration for inclusivity and accessibility in large brand offices, where diverse teams of different backgrounds collaborate daily. This study aims to address this gap in research by investigating the importance of inclusivity in big commercial offices and proposing universally applicable design strategies that transcend conventional paradigms of accessibility. A mixed-approach methodology was adopted to explore this topic comprehensively. It incorporates literature reviews, case studies, site visits, and interviews. Various offices were examined through literature reviews and case studies to identify the most suitable practices and challenges in promoting inclusivity. Firsthand insights into the spatial dynamics and ergonomic factors for meeting various needs and preferences were provided through site visits. Stakeholders, employees, and management were interviewed to comprehend the requirements and experiences of distinct personas within different office settings. All the collected information was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings emphasize that inclusivity is essential for promoting employees’ sense of belonging and productivity. Large-scale commercial offices can create spaces accommodating individuals of multifarious backgrounds, capabilities, and working styles by prioritizing inclusive design. A more hospitable and encouraging environment for all employees can be achieved by implementing flexible furniture arrangements, adjustable layouts, and inclusive as well as accessible amenities. The urgent need for inclusivity in big commercial offices to address the diverse needs of modern-day workforce demographics is spotlighted in this research. Organizations that embrace inclusivity may foster a culture of equality and respect within their corporate settings and improve employee satisfaction and performance. The methodologies described in this paper provide adaptable solutions for various commercial office contexts, regardless of size, function, or demographic mix.
