Tourist Satisfaction with Heritage Tourism Destinations in Vietnam
摘要
Heritage tourism is a specialised type of tourism that is rapidly growing and attracting academic and industry attention due to its potential for generating revenue and sustaining cities and ecosystems. This study examines tourist satisfaction with heritage tourism destinations in Vietnam. Specifically, it elucidates the relationships between authenticity (objective, existential) and place attachment in relation to tourist satisfaction, as well as the moderating influence of experience quality on these relationships. Data was collected at four major World Cultural Heritage Sites: Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hue Monuments, Hoi An Ancient Town, and My Son Sanctuary. A survey was delivered to 394 domestic tourists, which was analysed by PLS-SEM. Results show that the relationships between objective authenticity, existential authenticity, place attachment, and tourist satisfaction are all significant statistically. Implications are provided for improving tourist satisfaction with heritage tourism destinations.
