Travel Blogs as Influence Tools: Analysis of the Tourist Image of Southern Backcountry Morocco Through Online Narratives

This article explores the growing impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on tourism, focusing on the use of travel blogs as influential tools in shaping tourist perceptions. Specifically examining the southern backcountry of Morocco, a deductive content analysis methodology was applied to online narratives to assess the destination’s reputation among Western travelers. Findings indicate an overall positive image, highlighting its rich natural and cultural heritage, while identifying concerns such as limited accessibility and inadequate infrastructure. This research provides valuable insights for destination managers to tailor their marketing and policy strategies through the effective use of digital platforms and user-generated content.
