Tourist Motivation: Internal and External Factors in the Travel Decision of Brazilian Tourists
摘要
In recent decades, researchers in the field of Marketing have awakened an interest in understanding tourists’ behavior in more depth, significantly expanding the literature on the subject. This study explores the motivations of Brazilian travelers, investigating psychological, sociocultural, economic, natural, and geographic factors. Furthermore, it provides a summary of the factors that “push” tourists to desire to travel (Push) and those that “attract” them to certain destinations (Pull). The methodology included a questionnaire with 400 respondents. The results indicate that new experiences (91%) and cultural diversity (80.5%) are the main motivations for these tourists. The analysis helps tourism service providers and marketing professionals to develop strategies to attract and satisfy Brazilian tourists.
